Gilwell Reunion. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Gilwell Park, home of the headquarters of UK Scouts. Every year, over the first full weekend in September, Gilwell is the venue for Reunion – initially a reunion of all adults who completed their training there, but now open to all adults in Scouts. This year is going to be a very special occasion so not to be missed, and tickets are likely to sell out quickly. Click here to find out more and book your place. As a District we will be happy to coordinate transport down their for leaders later in the year for those who’ve booked. It’d be great to see loads of us there this year!
Annual Review & AGM. You are all invited to the Annual General Meeting of Wrexham District Scouts, and our Annual Review, at Maesgwyn Hall on Wednesday 3rd July at 6.30pm. We’ll soon be collating all young people who’ve attained Top Awards since the last AGM so can all Section Leaders be ready for that – we’d like to invite them and their parents to come along so we can celebrate their achievements.
Communications Strategy. We’ll soon be launching our Communications Strategy – and ironically we’re going back to an old fashioned letter to ensure we get the message across. I hope this personalised approach will help get the message across. So look out for your letter soon*! There will also be details shared on our website and via email.
Invite us to come and see you. The District Team would love to come along and Join-In with what you do – be it coming along to your Section meeting, joining in with your Exec, or helping out with your campsite service crew. We appreciate the time you all put in and would like to share this with you. Fill in this form to invite us along.
