Volunteering at Scouts is changing to help us reach more young people - Discover what this means

Open Volunteer Spots: 39

Runs the session using the programme planned by the Programme Planner, and ensures the safety and well-being of the young people.

In Scout Lingo:

Beaver Scout Leader/Assistant Beaver Scout Leader (for 6-8 year olds)
Cub Scout Leader/Assistant Cub Scout Leader (for 8-10½ year olds)
Scout Leader/Assistant Scout Leader (for 10½-14 year olds)
Explorer Scout Leader/Assistant Explorer Scout Leader (for 14-18 year olds)

What we need from you:

We’d need you to complete a DBS check and do some basic training within 5 months of you starting. Then there is some more training to do which will cover other parts of the role, but this takes prior knowledge and experience into account, and if you do need support it can be done on the job – and even better, you have 3 whole years to do this if you need it!

What you’ll get out of it:

You’ll have opportunity to get involved with activities yourself, learn new skills and even gain qualifications. Most of all you’ll have a load of fun and see how your hard work pays off when the young people develop under your leadership.

Locations:

Bangor-on-Dee, Brynteg, Bwlchgwyn, Coedpoeth, Gresford, Gwersyllt, Hope, Marchwiel, Overton-on-Dee, Rhosnesni, Rossett, Wrexham
