GDPR. Due to the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation, it is a requirement that all adults in Scouting are aware of their obligations. Therefore GDPR training is now part of our mandatory training. Yipee! Please can we ask that you all complete this simple online module, then email your certificate to training@wrexhamscouts.org.uk so we can update your records.
Neil Curtis has joined the Wrexham Training Team. Neil will be working with Jill to put on training and also help go through the records to keep Group Scout Leaders and Training Advisors aware of who needs what training. Thanks Neil for your help so far.

Our Christmas Celebration will soon be upon us. It’s on Friday 7th December in Tŷ Pawb from 6.30-8.30pm. All are invited, including parents. Some of the activities planned include Christmas karaoke, Christmas cream crackers, tree decorating race, yule log sawing competition, jingle bell shake, blindfold cake decorating, and we’ll be attempting to break the world record of how many faces we can paint the new Scouts fleur-de-lys on! We also have Plât Bach for food and Bl_nk C_nv_s for drinks opening specially for us. Please can leaders email me with details of numbers they have so far and chase parents up who haven’t yet paid. Thanks.
Finally, our Youth Numbers spreadsheet. Lesley who deals with our membership enquiries is doing a fantastic job answering all the emails we get from people who want to join. But she needs to know where there is room. There’s no point her forwarding an email on to a Section which is full. As she’s not psychic, we need to give her this information by Sections keeping their entry on the Youth Numbers spreadsheet up to date. Even if your numbers haven’t changed, we still need someone to go in each month and update the date so we know that the numbers have been checked and are still valid.
