It’s truly amazing to see where our District Campsite is today compared to what it was when we first bought it almost 20 years ago.
The recent additions of the new toilet & shower facilities, and the extra lighting and power fitted before that, are the latest in a long line of gradual improvements.
None of this has happened by chance. It’s happened due to the many hours of planning, application for funds, hard work on the site, and time spent wardening. All done by truly incredible volunteers.
Tonight I invite everyone to raise a glass to Mike Cooper who initially found the site, and to all the others who’ve put in so much to make the site what it is today.
