We’re pleased to announce that Tom Roberts, who was our Media Development Manager for a bit before heading off for university, is returning to the role.
He’s still at uni in Lancaster, but now he’s settled in is happy to do the role from there.
Now this means that Tom won’t be able to attend Sections to provide hands-on support, but he will be able to encourage and co-ordinate media coverage from the District.
So if you’re doing something which you think local media would be interested in, please contact Tom via email: media@wrexhamscouts.org.uk. Tom may also contact you if he sees something good on your Facebook groups – so please invite him to join them.
This is also a fantastic demonstration of flexible volunteering. Why should living miles away be a bar to helping out?
