I’m delighted to announce some new appointments to the District Team.

screen-shot-2016-09-22-at-21-28-04First of all, Sue Lister is to become Deputy District Commissioner. Since the beginning of the year Sue has held the role of District Administrator, covering a raft of important jobs.

It’s become clear that her role is so crucial that it warrants an appointment to reflect this, so this is why she is becoming Deputy District Commissioner (Operations). Sue’s role includes Adventurous Activity Permits, Nights Away and supporting Cox Wood, the District Scout Shop, Chris as HQ Manager and Sandra as Appointments Secretary. Sue will also be supporting training in the District.

Don’t worry – Butch is continuing his role as Deputy District Commissioner, his role still covers all aspects of the District including deputising for me.

You can contact Jill and the rest of the training team at wrexhamscoutstraining@gmail.com

Last but not least, Jan George is returning to the District as part of the Training Team concentrating on supporting those with management and support roles.13508998_10157006000785612_8352733884565881084_n

I’ll have more information on the revised District Team when I can work out how to best draw the wiring diagram so it doesn’t look like the scary mess I have at the moment and instead is a helpful guide to who does what! ?

A huge thank you to all three, and to all of those who continue to support Scouting in Wrexham. I hope these appointments will make big difference to the adventures we can offer more and more young people.

District Commissioner
